Millennium Wyse

Where Life in the Fast Lane left off, Millennium Wyse continues. This CD was produced by Marcus Caldoun. This CD is about relationships and being smarter in this new millennium. It also includes the anthem Millennium Wyse that talks of being wise as we go into this new millennium. The Shades want people to know that we must be wiser with our decision. "Bus Ride 2000" challenges the younger generation to be more respectful and responsible in their lives.

Rev. Lawrence Bills, III and D. M. Adkins are again featured on this CD. Rev. Bills gives a stimulating sermonette in "Preacher, Part II" and "At the Church House, Benediction".

This CD was a growth experience for The Shades. Great thought and love went into the selecting of songs for this CD. Grace Terrelle, lead singer for The Shades said, "We wanted to leave the listeners of this CD with a message. That message is that it is time for us to start thinking about how we will effect the world, our friends, our families, and the people around us. We can't just keep acting like we don't care."

"Heart of the Child", written by D. M. Adkins, speaks of children. D. M. Adkins who has been an advocate for children all of her life, says this of the song, "The Shades asked me if I had anymore songs similar to "My Child" from the In the Night CD. I was planning on recording "Heart of the Child" myself, but when they asked me for a song, I knew that the song was meant for them."

Millennium Wyse proves that The Shades are indeed the band of the future.
