"In the Wind" is a spiritual growth for The Shades. They executively produced the entire CD. This CD features songs that were inspired by people who have died and left their memories, wisdom, counsel, and imprints on the Shades. This CD will live on to remind the listeners that even though you have lost love ones, they don't have to be forgotten. On January 15, 2001, Grace Terrelle, lost her grandmother. The Shades had to stop working on the CD they had in production so that Grace could grieve the lost of her grandmother. The CD was only half complete at this time. About three weeks later, Grace called the members of the group together and suggested that they save all of the songs that they had began working on for later use and make the current CD a tribute to all of the people that the group had lost. This idea was a success because each member of the group said that they had penned songs that were inspired by people they had lost. The members allowed Grace to give the CD its title because the CD was her idea. She titled it, "In the Wind" because she remembered her grandmother once telling her, "You will always hear my voice in the wind". The CD features the following guest artists and writers: D. M. Adkins and the DM Chorale, Rev. Lawrence Bills, III, and King Brown of Configuration. |
