In the Night was a growing experience for the Shades. This album features guest writers such as gospel artist, D. M. Adkins, rapper Brilliant and the legend himself, Norman Hall, and guest producers such as D. M. Adkins. This album features five instrumental songs and six vocal songs.

This album shows a wide range of the Shades talent. It includes song from almost every genre of music: including gospel, jazz, hip-hop, and the blues.

This album includes the very popular, My Child, written and produced by D. M. Adkins. "My Child" is an eloquent gospel-toned ballad about the troubles facing the children in today's society. "My Child" was featured in a commercial for the Maddocha Society for Children.
